Georgian Elegance

I was delighted to get the job of shooting St Leonard’s Place, for developers, Rushbond plc. This grand, but dilapidated georgian terrace had been the offices of York Council for many years, and over many years, it had been stripped of much of its character, with rooms unsympathetically divided, knocked through, or just left in a sorry state.

Rushbond’s task - turning it back into grand homes and apartments, was quite a challenge.

I worked with the project management team, documenting the 40 residences as they were brought back to their former glory.

My brief was not just to shoot the rooms, but also to show the details and give a sense of place through the shots - showing the views and the position of the development.

My shots were used on the website , in press and PR articles including this Yorkshire Post piece, as well as by Savils estate agents.

I love shooting architecture and it doesn’t have to be a huge project like St Leonard’s Place - just over the road, I shot something completely different
