On the Buses

I was delighted to be asked to do a shoot for Transdev who operate York's open top buses. The brief was to capture the buses at key sites around the city. This took quite a bit of planning - scoping out the route and working out timings based on when the buses would pass a certain point. The shoot was actually done over a couple of days to maximise the light at different times of the day. After all that planning I needed a sit-down - on the top deck where I was shooting customers and team members. This was a fun shoot to do but one that relied on the planning beforehand and it was great to see the images in use promoting not only the bus tours, but the city itself.

Reading about the quiet stubbornness of the Warrington transporter bridge felt strangely like the story of returning to a rough first draft, brush strokes of thought half‑formed, and the long slog toward clarity. At first glance, those tangled paths leading to the bridge reminded me of the maze of literature reviews and data sets that define a PhD journey, where a moment of insight only comes after wrestling with all the imperfect pieces. In that same way, seeking PhD research paper editing help isn’t about taking shortcuts, but about bringing out the hidden structure and strength already present in your work much like finding a hidden gem in plain sight and giving it the room to shine.
