Northern Lights

One of my highlights of 2018 had to be photographing the stunning Northern Lights installation at York Minster.

Created by Ross Ashton of The Projection Studio and Karen Monid, this stunning light projection has to be seen to be believed.

Based on the scenes within the Minster's world-famous stained glass windows, the event brought the colours and images to life through imaginative and creative animation, projected directly onto the interior of the Minster.

My job was to photograph the setting up of the event and the sell-out crowds witnessing the show.

The event was a complete sell-out and returned in 2019, with my images being used to promote the show on leaflets, press, outdoor banners and on social media.
