A trip to the vet...

I had to go to the vet recently for some shots.

That's shots of the vet, not from the vet, and the vet in question was Julian Norton, who features in the Channel 5 TV series 'The Yorkshire Vet'.

I was photographing Julian for a magazine feature and cover and met him at his practice in lovely Boroughbridge.

He was in danger of being upstaged by his lovely dog who, it has to be said, loved the camera, but Julian was great and happily took time for pictures in-between treating two dogs and a cat, and chatting to me about life on TV.

Julian was a real pleasure to shoot and even took time to sign one of his books after the shoot (for a friend whose interest in Julian is not entirely animal-related I suspect).

Julian's latest book is out now and you can see him on The Yorkshire Vet on Channel 5

The images appeared on the cover and inside business magazine Topic UK.

The same edition also carried an article about my work as a commercial photographer based in York, explaining how I shoot for businesses as diverse as architects and schools. The article featured shots I'd done for St Leonard's Hospice as well as Rushbond plc, Selby District Council and Scarborough Borough Council.

If you're an animal lover, you might also like this shoot I did for the RSPCA...
